Progressing work

I guess I wanted a spot to write, and there aren't any real artistic symbolism in it other than I want to write, and I've been feeling like I need to let it out. ^^

[Warning. I don't know what yet. But I can assure you, it's not for kiddies.]

He woke up to his throat parched dry. There was a moment where he thought he was dreaming, but dreams didn't feel cold and bitter. His body lay sprawled, face down on hard asphalt concrete. He couldn't see past his snow covered hands, but the warm putrid smell whisked by him. After some effort, he raised his head to meet a charred off face of an unknown man, and bile rose to his throat at the sight. Scrambling away from the body as far as he could, he sat upright when his back hit a solid wall. His breathing was heavy, and he could feel his right arm was twisted, but he had a hard time figuring out what to do when he finally took a look at his surroundings-- [tbc]
